Children's Sunday School
Children’s Sunday School Ministry
MISSION 252
Our Sunday School curriculum is based on the scripture verse Luke 2:52:
“and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and Man”
We strive to instill in our children three basic truths:
- I need to make wise choices.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Sunday School meets at 9:00 a.m.
for Kindergarten – 5th grades.
We meet in small groups by grade level for activities and discussion that reinforce the lesson for that day. We combine as large groups (K-3rd) and (4th -5th) for the Bible story.
Each month we focus on one attribute of Jesus that we want to nurture in our children. Examples of these are honesty, discipline, honor, and love.
Children’s Church during 10:30 worship Service
All classes Kindergarten – 5th move to the sanctuary for the 10:30 worship service. One component of this service is the Children’s sermon. All of the children (K-5th) are invited to come to the altar area for a short time of devotion and prayer.
After this the Kindergarten – 2nd graders return to the Children’s Sunday School area for the remainder of their worship service. They participate in videos, activities, and songs that are an extension of the Sunday School lesson. |
