The Preschool and Children's Ministry has adopted a theme verse and ministry focus for all of our activities, found in Paul's letter to Rome:
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2)
The literal translation of Paul's letter says "continue to be transformed." God tells us that transformation is to be a continual process throughout our lives with him. As the preschool and children's ministry begins each new year, we seek to ensure that all activities and programs for children in our faith family are focused on leading children to Christ. We strive to move beyond just entertaining children to the point of seeing their lives transformed into His image.
Sunday Morning Schedule
9:45am - 10:45am: Life Groups (Kindergarten - 4th Grade)
11:00am - 12:00pm: Worship Service and Children's Church
At 9:45am children meet in small groups by grade level for activities and discussion that reinforce the lesson for that day. We combine as large groups (K-2nd and 3rd-4th) for the Bible Story. Each month we focus on one attribute of Jesus that we want to nurture in our children. Examples of these are honestly, discipline, honor, and love.
All grade levels move to the worship center for the 11:00am worship service. On many Sundays, we feature a Children's sermon. All of the children are invited to come to the altar area for a short time of devotion and prayer. After this, we return to the children's Life Group area for the remainder of the worship service. They participate in videos, activities, and songs that are an extension of the Life Group lesson.
Sunday Evening Schedule
5:30pm - 7:00pm: EQUIP Children's Class
The EQUIP Children's Class uses a new curriculum comprised of a series of Bible studies. Children will have a great time of fun, fellowship, and Bible study. All parts of the class connect to teach life lessons to kid. Kindergarteners through 4th graders meet upstairs in the children's hall. There is also a class for preschoolers on the preschool hall.
